Framework migration, security & patient workflows
- Implemented a staged Spring Boot 2.7 → 3.5.9 → 4.0.6 migration across a multi-module healthcare backend, updating Spring Cloud integration and resolving compatibility issues across services.
- Adapted Hibernate Criteria queries and Spring Security method authorization to the updated framework contracts.
- Developed patient onboarding with native registration, administrator approval, form APIs and magic-link access, alongside patient feedback and administrative review workflows.
- Diagnosed and resolved a reward-processing failure that caused messages to be requeued indefinitely; added notification deep links to individual conversations and shopping lists.
Maternal healthcare platform
Mobile application & clinician administration
- Developed onboarding, daily check-ins, pregnancy calculations, patient profiles and calendar APIs for a React Native application backed by a multi-module Java service.
- Implemented Google, Facebook and Apple sign-in and account lifecycle flows, including coordinated removal of account data and user files from S3.
- Redesigned appointment and payment workflows around SimplyBook.me callbacks and webhooks; resolved Stripe webhook failures affecting these flows.
- Extended clinician access controls and reporting with change history, email audit trails and administrative filters.
German commerce & enterprise systems
Legacy modernization & operational reliability
- Modernized legacy commerce functionality through REST APIs and Swagger/OpenAPI documentation for frontend integration.
- Diagnosed an ERP memory-exhaustion defect caused by a self-referencing mapping and resolved persistence failures involving null values, query results and class resolution.
- Adapted reporting SQL for PostgreSQL, corrected data-access queries and implemented an in-memory form-cache reset.
- Evaluated transactional email providers and delivered the migration from SendGrid to Amazon SES, covering production access, SPF/DKIM/DMARC configuration and backend integration.
AI recruitment platform
Backend ownership & ML service integration
- Owned backend development in a team of two frontend developers and two ML engineers, translating ML capabilities into application services.
- Built RabbitMQ-based asynchronous integration between the backend and ML services for candidate matching and recommendations.
- Designed Elasticsearch indices and custom queries to support candidate search and filtering in recruitment workflows.

Authentication & subscription maintenance
- Strengthened authentication and account recovery by making email identity resolution consistent across login and password-reset flows while preserving case-sensitive password validation.
- Integrated Stripe automatic tax into subscription creation to support tax calculation within the billing workflow.
